It is so rewarding when you match the right dog with the right family. It is so heart-warming to see the dog we saved jump in the back of an SUV with the happy new family and drive off to a loving new life. German Shepherds are so smart, they know what you did for them. They usually give us a big, sloppy kiss of thanks, but then they turn away ready for their new life with their forever new family. We would like to have a foster home for every dog, but for now most are boarded at nice veterinary hospitals. If the dogs are sick or injured when we get them, they are treated by the veterinary staff. We are looking for volunteers to help us so together we can help more German Shepherds. There are many German Shepherds waiting for our help, there are many families waiting for the right dog.
