Hi, My name is Rosa - I am 1 ½ year old Shepherd mix is looking for a home of my own. I have never had one as I was found as a puppy rummaging through a dumpster for food. I am about 45 pounds and love to play with toys and other dogs or go on walks. My favorite game is fetch and I also like water. I know how to sit, stay and roll over and love to have my belly ubbed. Elke is a 4 month old PB GSD who was surrendered to Pet Matchmaker Rescue because her owners were having some 'internal' problems and Elke wasn't getting enough attention and training... they thought it would be best to give her to a place where she would receive the time and training so she would turn out to be a wonderful companion and all around well trained animal. She LOVES swimming and just hops right into the pool with the other dogs at her foster home. She's been around kids, cats and other dogs and does wonderfully with them. This is Bo, a female german shepherd mix. She is about a year old, 50 pounds, and 2 feet tall. Bo was wandering the streets of south LA for a long time before I rescued her. She was very friendly and I could approach and pet her. The problem was that it was obvious that she was nursing pups so I couldn't take her but a friend and I fed her everytime we saw her. After over 8 weeks on the street, I found out that her puppies were weaned and given away. so I finally took her. Unfortunately, she had a bad infection in her body that required a 2 week stay with the vet. Now she's healthy and ready for a caring home. Bo is sweet, affectionate and gets along with all dogs, children, and cats. She is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, fecal test done, frontlined, and microchipped. Now all she need is a good home. | Alyeska and Lupine are young, happy Black Shepherd/Flat-Coated Retriever sisters. These little girls are full of energy and LOVE to play with other dogs. They are very affectionate with people and learn fast. Both girls have graduated from live-in obedience training at our trainer's facility and we are looking to place them with an active person/family who will keep up with what they have learned. Tonks (above) is an 18 month old lab/sharpei mix sweetie pie. She will give you kisses, jump in the air, and even dance on her hind feet. She loves it when you mush up her face into Shar Pei wrinkles. She loves going for walks and interacting with kids and other friendly dogs – big and small. She has all
her shots, and is spayed and micro-chipped. Marky (below) is a happy, 18 month old shepherd mix, smiley dog, and he’s just learned to walk on a leash. He loves going for walks, runs, and hikes, so he’d be perfect for someone who wants a companion for that. He also likes getting hugs from kids, and is friendly towards other dogs big and small (as long as they’re friendly too). He weighs about 55 pounds. Cleo is a 3 year old female spayed GSD. I am the veterinarian that amputated her leg when she was 7 days old (can't belive that she lived!). She is not chipped, but I can get that done for her before she gets a home. She has been great at my home, no accidents so far, but I can't vouch for how she was before I started to foster her. Feebe is a 4 year-old, 50 lbs Shepherd-Lab mix who was surrendered to the South LA Shelter because her owners were moving. She has the sweetest, honey brown eyes and is one of the most grateful and devoted dogs. She loves going on walks, cuddling, and working for her people as all good Shepherds do! Feebe has been going to doggie daycare twice a week and gets along with most dogs- she loves to play. She graduated from obedience class with flying colors (she is a very smart girl!) and would do best in a home that provides her consistency, leadership, and lots of love. Feebe probably needs an experienced dog owner who would give her a routine, clear boundaries, and be her benevolent leader. A home with no rabbits or cats would also be best. Feebe is spayed, completely potty trained, up-to-date on all her vaccinations, and in great health. Feebe has a quirky, funny personality- her foster parents spend so much time laughing with her, especially because she can't contain her excitement when she sees you reach for the leash! Feebe adores people and is a sweet, loving dog as well as quite a beauty- she will no doubt add so much joy as part of the family. Lassie is a 1 yr old German Shepherd/Italian Greyhound mix rescued out of a local high-kill shelter. She is extremely loving and eager to please. She has a zest for life and enjoys romping around her foster home's yard playing with the children and other dog. She is extremely playful and would enjoy a home that can give her plenty of playtime, walks/hikes, and doggy playdates. Lassie is on the petite side weighing about 45 pounds. Her favorite past-time includes jumping up and down on the trampoline in her foster home. She is very agile so a home with good fencing is ideal. URGENT Goody was rescued from the pound at 6 weeks old, she is a German Shepherd /Rottie mix. She is now 6 yrs old and her family is moving out of the country.
She loves kids, is great with other dogs and is even great with cats.
She loves walking and is very strong. She weighs about 90 pounds. Gets along fine with other dogs big and small and has a stray cat she shares her house with when it's cold or raining. |
Koda is about 6 months old. She is great with kids, and loves to give kisses ALL the time, she rarely barks! She is not fully housebroken but I always put her out after she eats with the other dogs for a couple of hours. She is spayed and is up to date on the shots! She is a Staffie mix, that is how she gets the beautiful colorings she has. Definitely a family dog. She has lots of puppy energy, loves walks and gets along with other dogs. Chloe is a sweet, super-friendly female shepherd/lab mix. She's about 15 months old and weighs 33 pounds. She's well-mannered, housebroken, gets along well with other dogs & kids, and would be a wonderful pet. She is extremely smart and knows basic commands like sit, lay down & stay. Daisy Duke was running in the street in Canoga Park and I managed to get her to come into my car. Once she was inside I realized that she had escaped her previous owners because they were neglecting her. Her collar had basically grown into her neck as she grew and had to be cut off of her. She is a 1 year old lab mix and the collar was about the size of a cat collar. She's been to my vet and is completely healed, been given all of her shots, and has been living with me for the last 10 days. She is really eager to find a permanent Mom/Dad:) I would absolutely keep her if I didn't already have 2 old (11 yrs) pups and 2 kitties already. She is incredibly bright, house trained, easy on a leash, doesn't get on the furniture or chew up anything, and only barks if she sees someone walking outside that she doesn't know. She even waits for my other dogs to finish eating before she allows herself. She is full of love and kisses and has a definite Lab personality. Bindi is a soulful, affectionate Shepherd/ Hound girl. She was recently rescued from the South L.A. shelter. She had been dumped by her heartless family along with a litter of nursing puppies. Her pups all got adopted but she was left behind. Bindi is about 2 years old, 45-50 lbs. and just the sweetest girl imaginable. We first encountered Bindi at a mobile adoption. She was so calm and gentle, happily enjoying her first day out of the shelter in almost two months. She was absolutely wonderful with all the people and other dogs. After she returned to the shelter we learned that they were going to kill her due to an ear infection! We rescued her on her last day. Bindi is quiet, housetrained, vaccinated, microchipped, was recently spayed and had ear surgery. She is in a foster home with 4 other dogs and doing great! Riley is the sweetest 4 year old German Shepherd. Her family needs to find her a new home because their other small dog isn't getting along with Riley. They have nothing but great things to say about her. She is housebroken, loves people and is friendly with everyone she meets, dogs and humans alike. She even loves cats and is currently living with 2 of them. She is on the smaller side just over 60 lbs. She also loves going for car rides and is a wonderful passenger. She sticks with her family if she's off leash in front of the house watching her 'dad' do the gardening. All in all, she is a gem and her family is heartbroken for having to give her up. Koda is a wonderful 10 month old German Shepherd/Lab. mix. She's 60 lbs., spayed, has her shots and is crate trained. Koda lives with a small dog in a condo, her family feels she needs a house with a yard. She's extremely friendly, playful, and full of young-dog energy. She loves playing with her purple squeeze ball and Kong. She also loves the outdoors and the beach, although she's an indoor dog. She's extremely submissive around other dogs, as with all dogs she can get protective on the leash when other dogs approach her person. At the dog park, other dogs try to pick on her if anything, not the other way around. The bottom line is that everyone who meets her loves her. We know she'll make a loving family very happy. URGENT-HONEY NEEDS A HOME!!! I rescued Honey from the pound the day that she was going to be put to sleep. I can't believe anyone would dump her at the pound...She is just adorable. She loves to be with people and other dogs-she follows me wherever I go, and tries to play with my dogs, but they are old and grouchy. She lays her head on the couch and watches me, follows me into the bathroom and follows my dogs wherever they go. Honey loves to sleep next to me, with her head on the pillow next to mine. She is a real sweetheart, with a lot of love to give! She is truly beautiful, a german shepherd mix with big floppy ears. She was listed at the pound as two years old, but is probably much younger! Honey is great with other dogs; she is very submissive and eager to please. When my dogs growl at her, she runs off, but then tries to get close to them again later. She is such a sweet soul. I can't explain it, but you just want to help her and make her feel secure. She felt anxious at first but calmed down, and is now beginning to relax and hang out. She would make a great addition to your dog pack and family. She needs to be with people and dogs, and is fine with cats. I am totally impressed by her-she is very adaptable and smart. Leo is a large lovable, beautiful 60-lb 9-month old shar-pei shepherd mix. He is a muscular boy that loves to run and play with other dogs and would do well with a dog his size or larger. Leo is very active and enjoys his daily walks (and jogs) and playing with his doggie toys. He is very friendly and affectionate when he meets people. Leo enjoys being indoors with the family and he loves to have his tummy rubbed. He is truly a puppy at heart. Leo is housebroken and does well when inside the home and on long trips in the car. PLEASE HELP CALEB !! Caleb is four years old. He was rescued from a shelter, and his rescuer was told that he had been used as a "bait dog" for fighting dogs in training. Nonetheless, he is exceptionally sweet, and gets along well with other dogs, kids, and adults. Caleb has renal disease, and will probably not live to be an old dog, although whether his future is measured in months or years is unknown. He tires easily, and may also have a cardiac problem,. Because of his kidney problem, he drinks large amounts of water constantly, and must have free access to a yard, as he must pee frequently as a result. His sunny, loving disposition needs a nice yard and a caring person or two to give him a quality of life for the time he has left. He is living in a kennel now, and we do not want his lifetime to be spent in jail. If you are a special person who can give Caleb a home, we will continue to provide his basic medical care. Sam is a two year old German Shepherd/Irish Wolfhound mix. He is 89 pounds
and a strong boy. He has been in a family with young children and is fine
with them. He has knocked them down but that is to be expected. He is
housebroken and good in the house. He is alpha and should only be placed in
a home with female dogs. Sam is protective of his home and needs someone
willing to take him out on long walks and work on his training.
He loves water and likes to swim in a pool.
