A
MESSAGE
FROM
ROBIN

They come by truck, they come by mini-van and by car, the stories are the same over and over. Someone lost their house or the dog was sick and they had no money. We continue to get the most wonderful German Shepherds, each with something special, each with their own sad story. Our money is going so fast, if you can help us get through another year, so many wonderful German Shepherds would be forever grateful. We need you to help us so we can continue to help so many wonderful and deserving dogs with their whole life ahead of them. Anything you give us will go towards saving another life.

EDITORIAL BY A VOLUNTEER:
People sometimes ask us why we charge such a 'high' adoption fee. ($345) Maybe a look below will explain where all our adoption fees and donations go. On average we spend a minimum of $600 on a dog before it's adopted. Most of our dogs will cost a lot more and the injured, sick ones go into the thousands.
Anyone thinking about adopting a rescue dog has to understand: When you rescue a dog, you have to WANT TO HELP the dog, not look for a cheap pure bred. Rescue dogs are not the Nordstrom of Dogs with a lifetime warranty. They're wonderful creatures who already lost a home and a family, and are looking to belong and adore someone who will give them the love they deserve. They will pay you back ten fold with unconditional love, friendship and loyalty. And plenty of laughs!

It's hard to believe they are the same dogs on the b/a pictures:

(sometimes a freezing little soul finds its way into our
transport van pretending to be a shepherd ... )

Nugget came to us very sick at the age of 8 weeks. He was diagnosed with DISTEMPER. Distemper is a deadly disease for dogs and very few survive it. After months under Robin's 'intensive' care, Nugget was finally able to go to his new home with a clean bill of health. We are thrilled, amazed and
just so happy to see this stunning shepherd today. On the left, you see Nugget at the vet's hospital. We were sure he was a mix. Just look at him now, he's the most stunning sable German Shepherd with a wonderful temperament. His new mom just adores this handsome boy!
