Poe von Edgar is a gorgeous 4-5 year old German Shepherd. Poe is handsome, intelligent and loyal. Poe seeks the synergistic bond that is the ideal between dog and human; he first observes and analyzes new situations and individuals before participating and engaging. However, once he is comfortable, he attaches to his handler quickly. His devotion to his person can make him protective so he will do best in a home experienced with the breed. He knows the leash means it’s time for a walk and he proudly takes his place next to you, fine with the other dogs in the pack and sensitive to the slightest correction. Of medium energy, he is not all serious-mindedness and caution: he can be playful and happy. Off-leash, he is relaxed and inquisitive, meeting other dogs calmly and keen on exploring the environment. Poe is house-trained and knows his basic commands.
