Howie von Holzen is a gorgeous 3 year old long haired German Shepherd mix. Very loving and happy, Howie is a sweet boy with the most beautiful coat of fluff who absolutely loves people and has an outgoing, upbeat personality. You know those good-looking smart boys in class who like to goof around? Well, Howie is that boy! Fun and playful, he's always up for a good time, and he loves being petted even more than getting treats. A prior home termed him "a sweet sweet awesome dog." He knows his Sit and Down commands, and is housebroken. At walk time he starts out happy and bouncy, then settles and does okay on leash.  When our staff has a day off, he is often their choice as a hiking buddy, or, if you are a bike rider, he loves to run alongside a bike.  Howie says no to cats and small dogs. He prefers dogs with the same playful energy who aren't too pushy, but would be fine as your one and only. Look carefully at Howie's face, you can see his kind eyes. Just imagine him right by your side through life's adventures.
