Florian von Baumann is a beautiful 10 month old pure German Shepherd. His ears haven’t yet decided how they are going to end up.  He was bred to sell, but when the breeder saw he was limping, he was going to take him to the animal shelter. Some teenage boys and their mom got involved and soon Florian was on his way to Westside German Shepherd Rescue.  He is a loving, playful and happy dog. It is touching how even teenage boys saw the injustice and wanted to help get Florian somewhere safe.  He has great leash manners, knows commands and he is housebroken. He loves his play group with an assortment of other big dogs, and he even did well during his small dog test. We recently introduced Florian to a cat, and after one sniff,  he came back to us for love and attention. He has been around children and loved them.  Many donations, large and small, paid for his elbow surgery that cost $6000. According to his orthopedic vet, he should be able to do anything.  He is one of those soul dogs, who, if he hasn’t seen one of us for awhile, will want to come visit and share a moment with us. This amazing pup will make such an easy addition to a loving family.
