Evi von Hirsch
Adopted

Evi von Hirsch is a beautiful 14 month old German Shepherd/Dutch Shepherd. Evi looks like a perfect petite German Shepherd but she has the brindle coloring of the Dutch Shepherd. Evi looks like a puppy but she is full grown, she is just adorable. You can see from the pictures how well she relates to people she just wants to melt in their arms. Evi is also good with other dogs. If you want a shepherd, but not a huge dog then Evi would be a perfect choice.

From Evi's foster mom:
In case you didn't know, Hirsch is "deer" in German, and this is definitely a "dear" dog. She's a great dog. The first 24 hours have been blissful for all of us (she sure looks happy.) She's housebroken. She eats politely and takes treats gently and I can feed both her and Mr. T at the same time and they're only about 6 feet apart. She walks very gently on a leash, too. She's good with the cats, so much so that even the skitish ones will come in the room with her there. She loves kisses and hugs and belly rubs. She was very shy at first and T was eager to play. It took her a while but she finally realized that chasing him around the yard would be fun. She's not very active and he'd like to play alot more than she would, but they sit out in the yard together quietly sometimes, watching the traffic go by. I'm going to try and introduce her to my neighbors kids this week (a 3 year old and a 1 year old) and she how she does, but I'm betting she'll be just fine. She was a perfect dog for the night and slept all night on the bed. She's such a good dog that while I'm home she has the run of the house with T for most of the day. She quietly accepts being closed in the kitchen when I need to go out.
