Toby von Tawern is a stunning 2 year old red and black long haired German Shepherd. Even though the color is bred for show lines, these dogs still need guidance. Toby has been super easy at the rescue and has met only one dog he didn’t like, but he needs continued training and boundaries. The adopter is the one who needs the skill to guide these dogs. Eexercise and "something to d"o is paramount. On the leash, he is a gentleman who stays right by your side, happily accepting head rubs while listening to small corrections. While he is calm and gentle around people—often nudging your hand for more pets—he truly "lights up" and blossoms when he's around other pups. He is a social superstar in playgroups, showering other dogs with "snout kisses" and showing a respectful nature by taking corrections from them with ease. Whether he's patiently waiting for treats or rubbing against staff for body rubs, Toby is a curious charmer, who would make a wonderful addition to a home with some guidance, so he stays perfect.
