Roy is a beautiful 11 month old German Shepherd. You can see from his face that he is just a big love. He is a gentle and a happy go lucky guy. Roy and his brother were purchased from a breeder when he was just tiny. Everything was going well for Roy until someone in the family left the gate open. Roy went bounding out the gate to explore the world beyond. Tragedy struck, Roy was hit by a car as he was crossing the street.One of his legs was badly injured. At this point the family became disinterested in Roy. His trainer and pet sitter was the one who took Roy from vet to vet to see if anything could be done for his leg. There was too much damage and his leg had to come off. His owners don't want Roy anymore, they don't want to look at this sweet boy anymore. He loves life, he loves his toys . Having three legs hasn't slowed him down at all. He has learned to balnace himself and runs after his beloved ball fast and still smacks you with kisses. He would make a wonderful companion for someone who is interested in a sweet, ball-chasing, "can-be-calm," "likes to be with people" dog. Like all dogs, he loves affection, but doesn't hang all over you. He is well behaved in the house, but just keep an eye on your slippers because Roy is still a puppy.
