Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

This beautiful large sable/brown boy is Riley von DePalma. He is about 4-5 yrs old. He's had a bit of hard luck lately. He was found lost by one of the vet techs from an animal hospital. He had a microchip, but when they called the owner she said she gave him away 2 weeks ago. After making phone call after phone call, it became painfully obvious, none of his previous owners wanted him, and to make it worse, they didn't show any concern about him at all. Riley has a scar across his muzzle that looks like it came from a wire or some such that someone tied around his mouth so tightly, it left him with a 'beauty mark' we'll call it. After meeting him, out volunteer could not understand why anyone wouldn't want this gorgeous and VERY sweet boy. He is so affectionate and sweet, he would jump in your lap if he fit in there. We're still evaluating him with other dogs and cats, but from what we've seen so far, he seemed ok with other dogs at the vet's waiting room. He is very thin, but strong, walks well on leash and is so friendly. He is a good size, he will be around 100 lbs after he gains all his weight back.
