Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Rambo is a beautiful black-and-red long hair German Shepherd. Rambo is 18 months old and was turned into the animal shelter because he got too big. We really think that the people probably wanted a more macho dog, Rambo is as gentle and sweet as they come. He was so well-behaved when we waited at a crowded vet office for them to take him back to be boarded. Children stroked his beautiful face and little dogs sat right next to him. Cats waited in carriers and nothing seemed to annoy him. He was sad to have to leave the two volunteers who had spent an hour brushing his coat in a near by park. It was also painful for them to leave the gentle boy behind, but we know that a perfect family will appreciate his size and gentleness and take him home.
