Neptune and Venus are so sweet and so perplexed. Life hasn't been easy for these two young dogs. Neptune and Venus were found wandering, lost and scared. Then they were brought to a shelter in an animal control truck and separated from each other, days of barking dogs and people quickly walking past their runs at the shelter, people looking for "dogs who would fall in love with them". Neptune and Venus had never known anyone who was nice to them, how could they fall in love. They are only 18 months old and have already been bred. We know the scenario, the puppies are sold, two puppies are kept to replace the parents, then the parents are discarded. These breeders didn't want to have to pay the $5 fee for relinquishing the dogs at the shelter.
Neptune and Venus are being transformed at the vet hospital where they are boarded. Everyone is nice to them and says sweet things to them. We call dogs like this "Velcro dogs". Neptune walks touching the volunteers legs. He is so happy to have someone who is kind, he wants to be attached to them. Venus is a little more outgoing, but also very loving. They look very good together and are happy together. We would also place them separately. They are good with other dogs and have shown no interest in cats. There is something special about Venus and Neptune, they are so gentle and deserving.
