Lucas is a beautiful, large 5 year old German Shepherd. Every once in a while we like to feature a special dog as 'Pet of the Month' because we feel they deserve a little 'limelight' and special attention. Lucas has a very thick, soft fur, the kind some other dogs would give their right paw to have. He is great in the car, walks well on leash, and enjoys his daily walks with one of our volunteers. He is also a favorite at the boarding place he is at, and gets to hang out in the lobby with the staff from time to time. Although he is ok with other dogs, he would prefer to be an only dog in a quiet, low key home. His 'dream home' would be with a loving family who would take him on his daily walks and have him snooze on his own pillow in front of a fire place or by your feet. As with all our dogs, pictures, no matter how good, NEVER do justice to these wonderful dogs, so why don't you come down and meet Lucas in person and see what a handsome boy he really is
