Leo von Lohme

Leo von Lohme is a stunning 2 year old long haired German Shepherd. Leo is a very fluffy, fluffy, fluffy boy. If you’ve ever wondered what it was like to pet a lion, now is your chance to find out. Leo, unlike a real lion, would LOVE for you to pet him, so that’s a win all around. He is a medium-sized pup at 61 pounds, who walks well on leash, including with other dogs and when meeting them face-to-face. With his medium-energy levels, he enjoys playing with other dogs in the yard but also enjoys a good “stop and smell the roses” moment. He is working hard on his basic obedience and making wonderful progress. One of his best tricks is one he taught himself—nudging people’s hands so they’ll pet him. He would love to show you this trick in person, especially if you promise to scratch his ears or his butt. While he shares a name with the Leo constellation in the sky, this Leo is a gentle one. Good with people and dogs, he is a friend to all except cats. He came to us from an animal shelter and we just don’t know who would give up this loving pint-sized lion. Want to love (and pet) a lion with the heart of a lamb? Leo is your guy.

Rescued from the Inland Valley Humane Society animal shelter.
