Day after day we watched little Jacqueline lifeless in her cage, it was so tragic to watch as parvo sucked her life away. It is so hard not to be so angry at her owners who gave her no shots and then dumped in her and her sister in a shelter filled with disease Several times the staff at Mar Vista Animal Hospital thought they were losing her as her sister had died the first day. The staff at Mar Vista would rally for her and would try yet another treatment from Tamiflu to plasma, Jacqueline had the benefits of every cutting edge treatment. Then they noticed that her little tail would weakly wag when they came in to check her, slowly the life was pumped back into her. It was such a special time when one of our volunteers went to pick up Jacqueline, the staff all had to say good-bye to their little miracle.
