Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Duke is making the volunteers swoon. We are so in love with him, everyone wants to sneak him away for some one on one time. When Duke stops getting petted he presses his head even closer, just so you get the idea to keep that attention coming. Duke's former owner is very sick and couldn't keep Duke any longer. It was hard to understand his owner, but we could make out his muffled whisper, that "Duke is such a good dog." The big boy is 95 pounds and lean, he is very tall and has huge bones. We feel like we are taking a pony for a walk. Fortunately, he is easy to walk and doesn't pull. If you ask him to sit, he checks your hand first to see if he likes the treat. Duke has such a sweet nature and is very intelligent. He is 3 years and 6 months old. He is already neutered and micro-chipped. He has had excellent care. He seemed totally disinterested in the cats at the vet office. He also has been fine with the dogs he met. He is fine with children, but he would probably be too big for really small children.He loves to go for a ride and settles right down, he loves Jumbo Jacks, even for breakfast. We are asking a donation of $500 for our big, beautiful boy to help other less fortunate German Shepherds.
