Summer has always been one of the toughest times for the rescue in terms of the number of dogs that need our help.  But this summer has been unprecedented due to the added housing crisis.  So many people are losing or have lost their homes and need to find new homes for their pets as well as themselves.  The shelters are overloaded with dogs who have been turned in by their families or just abandoned in homes that their families can no longer afford.  We have always relied so much on our generous supporters.  We and the dogs need your help now more than ever so that we can continue to help all these deserving dogs that have ended up in the shelters through no fault of their own.
Our boarding costs are over $1,000 a day with so many dogs.  We are hoping that some of you might be able to open up your home as a foster family to one of our wonderful dogs.  It is truly a rewarding experience and a great gift to help a dog transition to a home environment.  Each dog that is fostered is like donating $390 per month, which is what our boarding costs are for one dog.  If you, or someone you know is interested in fostering please contact Karen @ k9karen@sbcglobal.net or Sharon @ Sharon@sheprescue.orgThe dogs thank you.

We have relied on your donations everytime you shop at Ralphs and we have now learned that in order to continue receiving your contributions from Ralphs you must switch to the new Ralphs Reward Card.  You can apply at your local Ralphs store the next time you shop.  We will continue to receive your contributions through the end of August.  As of September 1st, Ralphs will only contribute to Westside for those participants who are enrolled in the program with their new Ralphs Reward Card.  We hope you will continue to help us help the dogs!
