Trucker von Grapevine is a gorgeous 4-year-old coated German Shepherd with a unique name that fits how he came to be with Westside.  We rescued Trucker when we got the call that a dog had been dumped out of a car and dragged along the highway.  He was running loose for awhile and when he was found he was three miles away from where he was seen being discarded; he had road rash from where the car dragged him.  His coat will eventually come back but for now that's his battle wound from a life he chooses to leave behind.  In time it will heal, but Trucker would like to start fresh and find that forever home he was destined for.  He walks well on a leash and sits for a treat, especially when those treats happen to be warm cheeseburgers from the drive-thru after his much needed rescue.  Trucker enjoyed riding in the car inside his crate and likes the company of people very much.  He does alert to other dogs on leash but is easily corrected.  Trucker will do best in a home experienced with shepherds.  He is a lovable guy looking to settle in with a family who will love and treasure him like the jewel that he is.  If he sounds like the dog for you, please fill out an application to arrange a meeting with him today!
