Rutger von Roan is a gorgeous, larger sized 4 year old German Shepherd. He is a little hand shy but our loving volunteers will teach him that an approaching hand means an affectionate touch or a tempting treat, and soon Rutger will learn to welcome one. Right now Rutger is unsure of himself and watchful for whatever is to happen next; even so, he walks well on leash and has fun observing others in a doggie playgroup. He is looking for a kind home where he can become the confident shepherd he was born to be.
