Rico is a big, dark, handsome long hair German Shepherd. He is about 18 months old and as sweet as they come. Rico was found in a schoolyard and soon became the favorite among the shelter workers because he has such a fabulous temperament. Our volunteers braved the rain to go get this special boy, who rode all the way back with his head on her lap. Rico was very good with the puppy that shared the ride back with him. The puppy crawled all over him and eventually settled down resting on his back, which didn’t phase him in the least. Rico has some obedience training and may even be house broken as one of the shelter workers said he always waited to go outside. Rico is good with other dogs and loves people. Rico will make some lucky family a wonderful and loving companion. We are asking a $500 donation for Rico’s board and care and to help care for all the other dogs who are waiting for their homes.
