Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Jack von Steiner is a large 4 year old classic German Shepherd. You couldn't find a more gorgeous dog than Jack. He is a lucky boy though, he was saved in the last minute by one of our volunteers who raced across town to get to him before his time was up THAT SAME DAY. As you can see from the pictures, he is a model worthy boy. He is friendly with other dogs and so far showed no interest in the cats, but we always like to do more testing if someone with a cat is interested in him. Our other volunteer who took his pictures fell in love right away and she tells us she thought Jack was a lot younger than his 4 yrs. He has a lot of energy, loves people and likes to show his affection by putting both paws on your shoulder and give you a big sloppy kiss. We feel he would do best in a home without any children because with his energy level, happy enthusiasms and strength he might knock over smaller children by accident. He knows some commands already, but he needs a strong, experienced owner who will continue his training to make him the best he can be.
