Axel von Bavaria is a stunning 2 year old pure black German Shepherd. He is 85 pounds of pure love and affection. He loves to cuddle with his human or bury his head in your lap for some neck scratches. Axel gets along with all dogs, no matter what size or gender. He is not good with kitties or any other small critters though, so a cat & critter free home is a must. Axel is not a barker, unless absolutely necessary just to alert you to something suspicious. He is wonderful and very gentle with children, is completely housebroken and knows many basic commands. Axel likes to demonstrate his intelligence by opening windows and doors, including the doors on crates, so please keep this in mind when you consider bringing him into your home. You don't have to worry about him running away, he is completely devoted to his owner and will always look back on walks to make sure you're coming. If for any reason he thinks you might be walking in another direction, he will run back to you to catch up. All in all, he is a very loyal, wonderful companion who will worship the ground you walk on.
